Beyond the firehouse, Michael was a devoted father, friend, and mentor whose strength and kindness touched everyone around him. Redline Hockey Club was founded in his memory to honor his sacrifice, support the families of fallen firefighters, and inspire young athletes to compete with the same commitment and integrity he lived every day.

Every Redline Hockey Club jersey honors the sacrifice of fallen firefighters. Each jersey features the last name and company number of a firefighter who gave their life in service. The player’s number is displayed in an American flag pattern to symbolize patriotism, courage, and the values these heroes stood for.

Instead of the traditional “C” (captain) or “A” (alternate) letters, the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) has graciously allowed us to feature their official patch on our jerseys, further connecting our players to the legacy of those we honor.
As Herb Brooks famously said, “...and the name on the front is a hell of a lot more important than the one on the back.” At Redline, for once, the name on the back is a hell of a lot more important than the one on the front!
